I am not an expert in economy. But I will join Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim in tonight Economic Forum organized by Parti Keadilan Rakyat. The forum titled “Budget 2007 and the future of Malaysian economy” will be held in Hotel Excelsior Ipoh. With Tan Sri’s vast experience in the corporate and financial material, I will only have limited contribution in the talk. The forum will start at eight o’clock (20:00hr).

Tomorrow Tan Sri and a few others, including Syed Shahir (President of MTUC) and Soon Hoh Sing (economic columnist), will give another talk on the same topic. It will be held at 20:00hr in Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, Kuala Lumpur.

Most people have criticized the weaknesses of the Budget. Instead of just pointing out the shortcomings, we will focus our talk on how to reform our problematic economic system. Time is running out, Malaysia needs to change in order to move on (and move up)!
