Telekom workers went for picket on 17 October in three loction. One was held in Menara Telekom in Bangsar KL. The action was a follow-up from last week picket.

Telekom workers are protesting against the privatisation of certain sections. This will be resulting employees in these sections losing their rights as union members. Further, as one would expect, their welfare and employment terms will be compromised. The latest privatisation push is another scheme by cronies to grap more wealth at the expense of consumers’ and workers’ interest.

Although the Telekom union top leaders tend to be more cautious, they are now forced to take more assertive stand to defend the union rights. The following photos were take by LRC activitists:
