E Contrario

The haze has been very depressing. I had a bad cough and running nose since Thursday (19 Oct). When this environmental destruction got to stop?
The pollution of air is affecting me the most. I think many people feel the same. I feel like we are fish living in toxic water and waiting eventually to die of suffocating.
Nonetheless, little wonders in my small front garden delight me. The water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) blossomed. Normally the flower only last for 2 or 3 days.

In the evening I found a little butterfly was escaping the haze in my garden. It was resting motionless on a little branch, not disturbed at all by the flash of my camera.
