Pak Lah and Mahathir met just before Raya and their meeting didn’t go down well. It was probably the last time the two see each other civilly. On Raya day, both Mahathir and Abdullah declared all-out war against each others.

Many people in Umno are disappointed, angry even fear. The fight between the two old men will definitely drag all Umno leaders in. They have to take side. They have to help one to fight and to slaughter the other camp. This is certainly not what good-hearted Umno people like to do.

However, most Malaysians are indifferent. They went on celebrating their festivals in happy mood. I received this sms from a friend, it perhaps refelcts the feeling of most Malaysians:

Pak Lah & DrM in helicopter looking down at KL, Pak Lah said ‘if I throw 2 Rm100 notes down, 2 lucky ppl wil b happy’. DrM said ‘if I throw 200 RM1 notes, 200 ppl wil b happy’. Pilot added ‘if I throw both of u down, 27 million ppl wil b happy!’ Happy Holiday & Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
