Mourning: Tan passed away

Reformasi activist Ah Tan passed away in Putrajaya Hospital 4am yesterday morning.
Tan Soi Kow or Umar Tan was the foremost reformasi fighter. He kept a position as an ordinary member of the party, contributing to the struggle as a simple concerned citizen. He was the first to face risk but the last to seek glory. He was to be found at every event connected to the cause, but never on the front rolls in ceremonies with the leadership.
He was my closest friend. My elder brother who guided and assisted me throughout these years. Without him, I wouldn’t have my strength to endure all the ordeals.
His selfless sacrifice for the struggle will be remembered by all. He endeared himself to all in the struggle.
Tan was buried at 11pm last night.
