Investigation or negotiation?

On Thursday, Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi ordered Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan “that he will have to investigate thoroughly and properly and follow the due process.â€
His statement sounded simply: “Nobody is above the law, that is important to remember,” he said. “Whoever is found guilty, action will be taken according to the due process of law.”
That’s interesting, but leave us rather perplexed. The media have somehow led people to believe that all suspects have been arrested. Who is above the law?
Dollah could not have referred to Abdul Razak Baginda right? Definitely not the police officers. They are now in custody, undergoing investigation. Despite their connection with high power personality, they are still subject formal legal procedure of criminal investigation.
Indeed the PM’s declaration was a bit sneaky, as if he was hinting that the culprit(s) is/are still above the law. He sounded like warning whoever involved in this case.
Notably, PM has become more confident and assertive after the case exposed. Coincidental, Mahathir sought to be hospitalized at the same time. Najib remains silent, and even ignored his wife Rosmah for 3-4 weeks. The PM conficence was shown in his announcment that he is willing to allow than 51% shares of Proton to foreign firm (something Dr M has objected violently). He also declared that he would not be a one-term only prime minister.
We hope there will be a truly transparent investigation to unveil the truth and grant jutice to Altantuya’s family. However I am unsure of a just outcome. I am afraid the political elites are now negotiate deals which allow top powerful leaders letting off the hook.
O)f course in bolehland, the real culprit will get away scot free. And the masses think everything is fine. How do you propose to get the news to the masses?
Abdul Razak Abdullah Baginda and let’s get his name correct, is a very selfish man. What he has at home in Malaysia is his priority. He refused to let his oversea’s affairs disrupt his home. He is willing to do anything and everything so that he will not lose everything and anything at home. However he dealt the wrong card. Turning his back against his lover and his own flesh and blood was bad. Using PDRM officers to gun her down is evil. Blowing up her body is just so Satanic.
