Hectic Sunday
Jan 22nd, 2007 by Tian
Yesterday was a hectic and crazy day. Busy from morning to night.
This Saturday and Sunday, Wanita KeADILan (Women Wing) organized a two-day working visit of President Dr Wan Azizah and Fuziah Saleh to all KeADILan divisions in Federal Territory. To coincide with the program, Batu division has to organize a public meeting or ceramah in Taman Datuk Senu.
I just returned from Penang in the early morning after attending Chin Wen’s wedding. I barely had 4 hours sleep, I had to start my very hectic Sunday schedule:
9:00hr: attending a funeral in Sungai Besi. The wife of Cikgu Luk (Luk Ting Yue) passed away last Thursday. I was away for Friday and Saturday, this was my first opportunity to visit him.
12:00hr: having lunch and had to complete the writing for my column Nanyang Shang Pao.
14:00-15:30hr: meeting with the house buyers of Taman Sri Pelangi, a continuation from last Sunday.
16:00hr: rushed to Cheras for the anti toll hike demonstration, got arrested in less than 20 minutes after my late arrival at 16:15hr. Got injured in the malee of arrest, the policemen twisted my left shoulder. We ended up in the Kajang police station for more than 4 hours.
Released on bail about 21:15hr. Shot to Taman Datuk Senu and had my ceramah.
Wow, by the time I finished my day, it was past 3am in the morning. I just remember I have a court case at 10am. What a life!!

My loyalists: always accompanied me throughout my tough time
Brudder, life is tough facing fascists every day. You either arrested, threatened.
Dear Tian Chua,
I became aware of your existence during the Reformasi period - ‘98-’99. Back then, you got beaten up demo after demo. Seing the footage on tvPAS of 21/01 demo brought back memories. It made me want to cry watching these post Independence struggles. It is as if we are fighting for independence all over again. And not like we have had it for almost 50 years. Merdeka? Not quite….
Dear Nina,
Thanks for your concern. We all have to do our small part to make this place more bearable. Keep our spirit high, we shall overcome.
