Vote Thanking in Ijok

On May 1, Parti Keadilan Rakyat leaders including the candidate Tan Sri Khalid, Anwar, Dr Wan Azizah, Azmin, Fuziah, Shamsul and others went back to DUN Ijok to extend our thanks and appreciation to the voters.
We held several programs in all major voting stations. A few of us, including Chin Chee Kong (陈志光), Lim Yun Hang (林运亨), Tan Tuk Sin (陈笃焉) and Eli went about 10.30 in the morning to organize program.
A gathering was organized in Restaurant Lay Fatt in Pekan Ijok at 15:30hr. The small restaurant was packed with over a hundred people. It was an ethusiatic response. We only came in the morning to mobilize the residents, a large crowd turned out. Many were eager to greet us and encourage us to continue the struggle.
At 17:00hr, the whole team went shop-to-shop in Pekan Batang Berjuntai. We too were warmly greeted. After the walk about, we had a brief tea function in front of Biro Penerangan Bilik Gerakan. It was also keenly attended by over a hundred people of all ethnic communities.
In the evening, a ceramah umum was held in Batu 8 Kg Ijok, in the compound of Markas PAS.
Eli and I didn’t follow the night event, as we had to rush back to Dataran Merdeka for May Day rally.
