A notice board was erected early this year declaring the land belonged to KL Mayor. The residents all wondered why the land owner was stated as Datuk Bandar instead of the City Council. Does it means that the Mayor himself owns the land.

The residents were told that the land will be used to build houses for DBKL staff. However this notice board states: its land use has been changed from educational purpose into a commercial project; and population density is to be increased to 608 per acre.
It also states that objection could be made before 29 January. The kampong folks wonder what would make their opposition valid.

Sheik Ahmad is the head of the Kg Simpang Batu Action Committee. His parents were the pioneer of the land. Both he and his father were ex-army. He expressed deep regrets towards the government for not caring for those who had scarified for the nation.
