There is one hokkien proverb who categorised white collar worker as "cheng sui sui, pang nui nui" i.e. " wear nice-nice, work relax-relax" but do bank worker really work relax-relax? Remember Bros and Sisters, When P.C. Gomez (our founding president) going around Malaya in calling bank workers to form Union then, he and four others cramp inside a small austin car and sleep in railway station or banking hall before office hours used to tell worker at that time: "we never see the sun, even our children grow up not knowing who their father are" So be proud to be NUBE members, is because NUBE got strong foundation that is why we never collapse even during 5 years crisis.....history said it all.....
