Umno and BN have started to intensify their offensive. Hishamuddin Hussein Onn, Najib and a whole list of Umno leaders, plus some MCA leaders, have named me as the target of attack. Some leaders questioned my motive for posting the picture.
My answer is simple: it is my belief that as a citizen one should be seriously concerned with such blatant injustice—the clear fact of a horrific killing coming into the light of day, yet information about it continuing to be deliberately obscured. Put under the lid of media blackout.
Is it my motive to defame anyone? Definitely not. Whether a commoner like Razak Baginda or a high government official like Najib Razak, everyone has the right to be protected from smears.
However a photo, of and by itself, of several individuals gathered together for a meal cannot have any effect on the honour of anyone. Admitting to eating together surely does not carry any implication of guilt connected to the crime. So why is everyone so worried?
We were told by the court that a photo of the three exists. I am also convinced that photos of the three, and any two of the three exists. And, the parties involved in the trial are in possession of at least one of these photos. Unfortunately, from past and continuing experience of the above “lid” of deliberate obscurity, we can assume that these photos are not likely to be shown or published.
Please don’t speculate that the Photoshopped picture was a ploy to lure the real photo out. Nobody has such power.
The purpose of my picture is, in simple terms, to try and bring the missing back into existence. The picture in my blog (re)tells a story of this gruesome and mysterious murder. As the title suggests, the theme also meditates on the enigma of the number “threeâ€:
Firstly, one of the three Mongolian women goes missing, while visiting Malaysia. Later, they found out that any record of their entry through immigration was also missing.
Three persons are now charged in court, said to be connected to the murder, but their motives are missing.
The three individuals worked for and were closely associated with the Deputy PM/Defence Minister Najib Razak. Yet Najib was missing from the any news reports on the case. Any reference to him has been well hidden from the public eyes.
After a week’s hue and cry, it seems some of the missing pieces have come back to light. Maybe the lid that so tightly caps the mainstream media has shifted slightly, and Najib has returned to visibility.
My response to the uproar is to wonder: Can the DPM’s appearance in a photo be so incriminating? And why should the DPM deny so vehemently his knowing of the victim?
Responsible and mature Malaysian politicians please grow up lah. So you think your political work is only confined to demanding apology for this and that, while ignoring the contents or issues? Or you think your important work is simply jump blindly and work blindly just to protect your master ? Use your brain a bit to think lah. What year is it now ? Is it the 1960s or 1970s where the political bosses are portrayed like Gods and never did anything wrong ?
If the creator have to apologies for what I termed as the moden day digital age “cartoon” created using a popular PC software, try to imagine how many apologies that Datuk Lat would have to do for the many big nose, big mouth, rough face and pretty ugly cartoons of our past PM, present PM and other politicians that he had created.
On the other note, I think if the “brain deficient†BN politicians’ efforts to extract apologies are continued, it may develop into a scenario just like what one of the Chinese proverbs, informing the public that “there is no 300 “liang†(or “ounceâ€) of gold under the ground at this locationâ€.
Dear All,
I totally agreed with what was done. In fact, all TC did was showed a photo of people having a meal together as alleged in the testimony in Court. The original photo must be produced. Otherwise, Najib Razak should sue in a properly constituted court of law for supposedly defamation as he can then alleged that he at no stage was involved in the menage a trois.
I lived in Australia and still holds Malaysian citizenship and also proud of it. As well I am trained in the law and understand that unless the photo is defamatory, there is nothing wrong with it. For goodness sake, all of your who professed as BN non-voters or haters are just merely as the Aussies will say is “bullshit”. It is not a matter of race as well but justice for someone who was brutally murdered by somebody who has high connections to the highest echelon of government. Who can get hold of C4 explosives? It is only the army who has possession of it. Think of it as someone related to you, like your sister or niece, who is killed without anybody being brought to trial. Personalise the crime and you will feel the hurt.
I would like to see the DPM sue TC for so-called guilt by association defamation. Maybe then the original photo can be produced and the truth be known. Anyway, I am disturbed by the deposition of the Chief Inspector of the Khas Force who testified that he had killed some twelve or so persons but not Altantuya. What sort of police force is this that is a hired killer? Maybe I should pay him to do in Osama Bin Laden as well as George Bush, just to be even handed for these two clowns have caused more deaths than we care to count. Innocent people who are subjected to their regime of terror.
They’ve already said and done too much. Such a hue and cry over the picture begs a further question: why are they reacting so vehemently?
Guilt? Shurely not, Dr. Watson!
Admittedly, in the it’s not easy to comprehend complex issue with our naked eyes alone especially in the absence of press freedom and independence of mind; alberth both mutually exclusive.
Under such scenario, it’s imperative for us to explore our faculty of logic as part of guiding principle to uncover the truth. Thus, it’s imperative for us to differentiate between “reality, illusion, imagination, bad motive and truth”.
Let us examine these concepts accordingly:
Reality = Fact that must be supported by evidence.
Illusion = It’s an act of fantasy; derived from the self belief or correlate self experinece.
Imagination = It’s an act of fantasy; derived from the creative mind and/or desire driven concisuly or unconcisouly.
Bad motive = It’s an act of sabotage with intention to cause damage and harmful to the target; malice driven
Truth = Fact/reality that covered or distorted intentionally/unintentionally by object temporarily. In the short term, need concious efforts to uncover it but prevails eventually in the long run.
We need to put in some mental efforts to uncovered the truth.
TC is one of the inteligent thinker. He knew what stage with his “doctored picture”.
I hoped this analysis would a starting point to triggered yr thinking.
Regarding the similarity of such depiction of Najib in your post compared to insulting the Prophet Muhammad ( as related to the cartoon in europe depicting prophet as terrorists ) are nonsense. Najib is not a god and serves the people of Malaysia. He can be critized and questioned. Anyway , i am not commenting if Tian is right or wrong to post that picture. But relating Najib to Prophet Muhammad seems irrelevant and unfit.
If Najib or any BN member were to post a doctored picture of Anwar Ibrahim sodomising sukma, I wonder how will the opposition reacts. How would the bloggers react?
For me, I will call on such person, whether he is BN or opposition, to retract the doctored picture and to tender an apology.
TC wrote and I quote “However a photo, of and by itself, of several individuals gathered together for a meal cannot have any effect on the honour of anyone. Admitting to eating together surely does not carry any implication of guilt connected to the crime. So why is everyone so worried?”
The answer : Nothing is wrong. But when a doctored picture is posted and looking at it with the surrounding circumstances, then it may wrong. Court was told of a picture of the three. Everyone got excited including myself. One of the three happens to be the deceased. The other surrounding circumstances are that many are led to believe (including myself) that Najib is somehow involved but we do not have enough evidence to conclusively proove his involvment..at least not yet.
All of a sudden, TC posted a doctored image of the three having dinner. Using a doctored image with the existing surrounding circumstances shows TC is an opportunist even at the expense of the deceased - a lady who have suffered a violent death. A lady whose life has been forcefully taken away from this world. And now we have TC as the Opposition member full of “integrity” posting a doctored picture involving the late Altantuya. An injustice being practiced on the deceased even after her death.
The means employed by you, TC, to put across a point is deplorable and repugnant to me, even if the point you are trying to make has its merits. I would have been proud of you had you come up with strong demands through your blog or platform as opposition member to Najib to clarify the testimony given in court that such picture exists. But you opted to use the “art” of doctored images to put across a point.
I called for you to apologise but now I call for your resignation!!!!
If that’s your criteria, kelvin, be brave and call for every BN MP to resign first. And apologise to the people of Mongolia!
Kelvin, ask Wong Chun Wai to resign too. He published a photo of some model and portrayed the late Altantuya as some money grubbing model when she is in fact an interpreter in the arms sales involving Malaysia.
If you have written the letter, post it here.
Dear Kelvin Ng,
your statement is nonesense. act of sodomising is morally and socially unacceptable, anyone would draw or make or photoshoping a picture of anwar sodomising should be taken as an insult.
tian chua only photoshop a picture of three person dining. what’s the hu-ha seriously? if today tian chua photoshop a picture showing najib having sex with altantuya then yes, go ahead and flame him, he deserve the punishment.
seriously all you BN scumbags, three person dining, what’s the hu-ha? moreover its in every newspaper such activity did happen so wtf?
and seriously all you BN scumbags at least use your knee to think, the more you highlight on this, the more it seems NAJIB is related to the case.
Prophet Muhammad would be sad i think, seeing Islam being used as a political weapon in Malaysia.
Bring them on, Mr Kelvin Ng. if you could, and dare, and be righteous enough, bring Anwar on, twosome or threesome or how ever manyseome. Dont just talk. Talk is cheap.
Bloggers would just laugh it off, which is more than what you can do, it seems.
Your righteousness will surely put you to good sleep, for a night or two, but beyond that, will, ask your kids next time. You are certainly very righteous. Hard to find person like you nowadays. Bravo, for it seems you are still so crystal clear about right and wrong. Mr Tian, you have wasted your effort in trying to get Mr Ng to go beyond black and white in seeking truth! Oh well, no harm done, at least you are consistent in your trying, which is more than what Mr Ng is able to comprehend, least of all, do anything.
I am sure you have done all the righteous things in your righteousness, Mr Ng, or kelvin, no wonder you are so perfect, too perfect indeed to be human in this age and time. No wonder the BN keeps being sustained, by people such as yourself. BN is indeed great, in its knowledge of the simplistic Malaysians - simple in mind, easy to manipulate, and most of all, damn easy to seek sympathy.
I salute you, Mr Kelvin Ng. Sleep well, tonight, for tomorrow could very well be different. Because tomorrow I expect a doctored picture of Anwar in however manysome, as what you would do in addition to just talk!!!
You have missed so much with your righteousness that you are so blinded and predictable. You think by others bringing Anwar in however manysome then the issue would be corrected. How simple minded can one gets, in this age and time.
HeeHeeHee, how right u r :-)) Oh l almost forgot, the righteous Kelvin would then said it’s wrong to bring Anwar in, so Anwar got off then. Damn those bloggers, censored my view!!!
Is any of such discussion getting anyone any where? Just wondering
Dear Kelvin Ng again,
what wrong is with you? all you care is about apology and resignation?
This is a case of murder. The criminals must serve their death punishment in front of justice. in fact this is what the whole wide world concern about, not you and tian chua’s political shout out.
tian chua’s photoshoping the photo does show he is an opportunist. c’mon every politicians are opportunist, what are you trying to imply?
and please lah, talk about resignation, ask sammy vellu to come down first.
Such spoofed pictures are not new in BN’s arsenal. Apart from the recent one that depicted DAP leaders in sexual acts, there’s been previous depictions like Datin Seri Wan Azizah in bed with former Filipino president, Joseph Estrada, and more.
One has to wonder why so much raw nerves have been touched just because Najib was the perceived target this time. I sure did not see responses of similiar nature when Abdullah Badawi was the target of caricature and ridicule. Has Tian offended some higher power behind the throne?
TC I hope to see more, then I can send them out. Loads of laughs.
Is any of such discussion getting anyone any where?
_____________________________________________
Najib`s getting somewhere. His press secretary can`t turn back the waves now. Maybe TC will do one of the press secretary sitting on najib`s lap and both clowns sobbing.
It never seize to amaze me that Malaysian politicians are so litigatious and sensitive about any form of criticism. I thought the photo is hilarious. If Najib has nothing to hide then he should not be so offended. Come out and state the truth. Please do not hide behind the “court’s” sarong.
we support tian chua and keadilan.
i ask all malaysian citizen?
najib was seen with Altantuya and he dint even admit!
he have shown a bad example to the rakyat.
plus,he is with razak baginda and also altantuya.
he surely knows razak baginda has perempuan simpanan which is Altantuya and he dint even ask him to leave him.futhermore if really he asked why dint he sack him?how can this happen?this shows that young generation should have 2 wife or must be a player and not sincere to boyfriend or girlfriend?a deputy minister can even keep this as a secret without telling razak wife that razak is doing something wrong.what a deputy minister?????!!he is showing bad inspiration by knowing his right hand man, razak has another girl but he dint even think of telling his wife about this..
malaysian,
we need check and balance in this country.
we need many opposition in the country to protect us and check what the goverment is doing.they are wasting so much money and much of our taxes enter to najib pocket.
i will vote for opposition next election to have more oppsition to speak up for us.
thank you opposition to fight for us and defend our rights.thank you
i think Kelvin is scared to ask for TC’s resignation and apology now..
What’s YOUR motive Kelvin for vehemently supporting the people in the picture? Are you for altantuya? But if you are, then you would call for original pic to be out.. (as more evidence, better case for dead victim). Are you then for Razak Baginda? But I don’t hear you professing your support for him, which then leaves the last man standing: Najib. You are a secret fan of Najib aren’t you? But why?
Even IF TC has made SUCH dire mistake of photoshopping this pic, you’re truly missing the big picture here - THAT there IS indeed an original photo out there, still existing, or already as “dead” as the beautiful victim, altantuya.. probably burnt somewhere…
and if so, don’t you care to ask why, Kelvin? why such an important evidence missing? WHY?!?!?!?
[...] The other side of the coin: Tian Chua’s stand. Tian Chua’s reply [...]
Dear Valisca,
I am not afraid to demand for an apology or a resignation from TC. I still do! Btw, Kelvin Ng is my real name and I dare to state as follows:
(i) I don’t support Najib because I don’t agree with BN (and Najib) and the most of the things done by the BN govt;
(ii) I wont say I support Razak because I don’t know him at all and to what extend his involvment is in the murder. I do not have all the relevant facts to come to a conclusion at least for now;
(iii) I do not call for the production of the original picture because this is not the proper forum. TC admitted that he does not have the picture. Only the witness who testified can produce it.
(iv) I do have queries why such evidence is not produced in court when the witness had testified but such queries is irrelevant to the posting of a doctored image which was birthed from TC own imagination.
(v) I do agree there is a big picture but for TC who preaches all those ideals such as justice, transparency, honor, integrity, it is unbecoming and uncalled for to post a doctored image to put across a point. To add insult to injury, the doctored image involved the victim who has since passed on, who has since suffered a violent death.
(vi) the picture that I am trying to put across is TC should not have resort to such unwarranted act. Leave those despicable acts to BN. Since he resorted to such act, what is the difference if he is in power or in the ruling govt one day.
Dear Anak Sarawak,
Thank you for your reply. I used the example of anwar’s picture being doctored as a hypothetical situation. So your challenge that to “bring anwar on…talk is cheap” is perhaps misplaced.
On the issue of being rigtheous, far be it that I am so! I believe there is a distinction of between being righteous and beholden to certain ideals. TC preaches about ideals shared by many including me, about justice, transparency integrity and to post a doctored picture seems contrary to the ideals he is beholden to.
I can assure you that I do seek the truth and am interested to know the truth behind the gruesome murder of Altantuya. But it is beyond me how posting a doctored image can help us to achieve that. Sorry, my mind is just too simplistic.
I also can assure you that I will not vote for BN. thus your simple assumption that BN govt stays in power because of simplistic Malaysians like me - simple in mind, easy to manipulate, and most of all, damn easy to seek sympathy, is also ill-conceived.
I only want to know the truth! Another thing is that… can we afford to know that our goverment is doing so bad? How can we change it?
Answer to that is. We know it is bad and we can not do any thing about it. And we feel shame of after 50 years of independent. We are still not any where close to our brother who seperated from us about 40 years. If the cabinet is now so badly managed…think about the next election. Malaysia is gonna be like Indonesia.
Hi all,
The picture of Althantuya, with Razak Baginda and Dato Najib dining together shouldn’t be an issue of dirty politics that most of us are potraying. Common man, Razak was Najib’s Personal Secretary, of course when they had dinner at one time all of them were in. That doesn’t proove anything. Anyone can have pictures of anyone and started saying this and that. To me the most important thing is , THE TRUTH. Even in althantuya’s case , Najib’s name was mentioned because of the photo only.. not because of his involvement with the case! GROW up all and stop being so paranoia over everything..
People like Kelvin Ng, wants to pretend that they are not stooges of BN. To even try and argue that bringing Anwar into the subject should even up the equation is nothing plainly stupid and a furphy argument. The fact is that it was alleged in court that Mr. Najib Razak was the other party at the dinner does not impugned that he was also instrumental in the murder of Altantuya. It merely proves he lied in the campaign in Ijok that he did not know her. There is something fishy here as to why he wants to deny this vehemently as well as the explosive being use to blow the deceased up. How can such a rare explosive be utilised. What is the army going to do about it? Who authorised the use of the explosives? Are these people so evil as to commit murder and do such thing to someone’s body after their death? I want these questions answered.
Teo Loh
Teo,
You claimed you are a lawyer. In the premise, I would be grateful if you don’t make assumption such as “People like Kelvin Ng, wants to pretend that they are not stooges of BN.” unless you can prove the same. I am a Malaysian who stays in Malaysia and proud of being a Malaysian but not proud of the BN Govt. I am sincere and honest enough to state my disgust for the BN Govt and if you choose to cast such aspersion on me, then prove it my dear learned friend. Or else refrain from making such assumption or else you may not be seen as a learned person.
Good day.
Tian Chua, continue to fight barisan bastards. Continue your struggle against lies, hypocrisy, bigotry, racism. You are facing Nazi and gestapo thugs, so dont be afraid to take your gloves off. It’s a no-holds barred contest. Dont play by the rules because Umno doesnt play by the rules, in fact Umno doesnt even respect rules.
I can’t fathom as to why making a big issue over something trivial.
If Najib Razak takes it in his stride and come clean that all these are rumours until it is proven otherwise, be open and transparent about it, challenge the people to show that the real picture (if it exists), he would have scored points with his honesty and openness..but yet..the actions of his goons, by vehemently attacking Tian is already indicating that they are trying to divert the attention from the real issue.
If Najib has nothing to do with the case, he has absolutely nothing to worry about. ‘Berani kerana benar, takut kerana salah’
The Opposition can’t play up the issue too much, after all, the media is controlled by the government.
Looks like some people are afraid of their own shadows.
I have only praise for the bold move of the owner of this blog. It seems a fashionable trend that is so much in vogue among certain parties to upheld the sanctity of their leaders ‘who doth no harm and should be regarded as saints- and we shall forevermore praise you with gratitude for all the happy life you have given us, and i think we should all change their title from yb, dato, whatever, to his holiness, or highness’ - something along those lines as these bastards appear very resilent and immune to absolutely everything under the sun, dont they?
There is so much in the news which i think only serves as a proxy for the powers that be to spread lies and propaganda, selective information dispension allegedly to control mass panic and of course, giving a very biased leverage to the ‘real owners’ of this very powerful weapon to gain trust and ‘portray popularity’ and support among the citizens of Malaysia. I resent this as this is never my opinion.
I can only imagine the pain and anguish the family of the deceased are going through right now. NO FATHER SHOULD LIVE THE PAIN OF OUTLIVING THEIR CHILDREN. The way we handle this case since the news of this brutal murder surface is turning into a circus.
We need change ladies & gentleman. This blind obedience is not funny anymore and it has gone long enough! we hear time and time again about how happy we are as malaysians, and how integrated we are as a citizen. That is a blatant lie. I wish to see EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES among malays, chinese, indians and other races who are malaysians. Lets not use those words again, it creates divisions, suspicions and prejudice among us that it is not helpful in the greater scheme of things. Let us call ourselves Malaysians. I am a Malay, and I dont want my children to be brought up with this systematic brainwash distinguishing people, putting them in neat boxes and think that we deserves much better than them solely because our ancestors lived in this country before their immigration. That way of thinking is obsolete. I put my hand on my heart and salute the non-malays in Malaysia for enduring the silent taunt imposed by our government under the pretext of acting in the interest of the bumis, when in actual fact it is in the interest of their own cronies. I salute you guys that after all these generations past, you guys still call yourselves malaysians.
Thanks for all the discussion. We really hope the truth will appear in front of everybody.
As a ordinary old citizen, such a brutal high profile murderer is very much hated by all. We really don’t want to see that the so called respected leader is really disgusting when brought up to court. I have a strong feeling that the answer to the motive of Altantuya’s murder trial will soon be surfaced. There are many clues we have now. If i really wanted to guess perhaps no other than the right-handed person of our prime minister, Mr. Najib. How come he is so innocent and yet struggling hard to defend himself by instructing all his arms forces, subordinates to avoid the case with him. He looks smart but indeed very stupid, greedy and short sighted. In Malaysia we will never accomodate such a leader to govern us. I have a guts feeling the BN coming general election will be very much affected. If given a chance to vote by email/electronic/sms, i believe BN popularity will be going down in general. Therefore, Mr. Najib has to prevent any case related to him. He holds the biggest share in this coming election results. Alas ! since the trial of Altantuya’s case already on show, i do not know how good is the cover up or manupulation can last ? Some how rather the JUDGE may ended up the three caught persons to death mandatory. ” that ’s all”. . I just pray to God that our country will be harmony and free from criminals after all.
Although your intentions for creating the now infamous photo can be applauded, maybe you should consider that sometimes the end may not justify the means. This adage is also one of the basis of Islamic principles (which DSAI would agree) that “niat tidak menghalalkan cara”. You are only drawing flak from your detractors and they will take this opportunity to cloud the issue with their own brand of ‘justice’. Imagine that in this instance, the Indian Muslim businessmen are taking the ‘initiative’ (in the hope of getting in Najib’s good book) by leading the charge to make a report at the nearest police station - talking about locus standi, don’t these people ever consult a credible lawyer for any advice before proceeding (or maybe their need to gain his favour supersedes anything else).
Dear Amygdala_hijack
Thank you for your encouraging words. I have lived in Australia for 30 years and go back to Malaysia annually. Yes, we are after all Malaysians and as you rightly point out, the BN govt. is merely a political party who has through the years made it out as if they are the hereditary rulers of Malaysia by using the oldest political trick in the books to divide and rule us all. The continue to play the race and religious cards as witnessed by the use of the cross over Tengku Razaleigh’s head during the heady days of Semangat 46. I tried to be colour blind as witnessed by the hordes of Mara scholarship holders who had befriended me over the years as a student activist on campus. I fear for the future of my country if the truth of the matter is not exposed for what it is. The use of power and influence to bring about the death of a person who irregardless of what they have done should not deserve the fate that befelled her. The existence of a strong opposition is always one of the hallmarks of a genuine democracy. Viva la PKR.
Not sure what Kelvin Ng stood for in principle….it’s a case of not here not there.
It’s only a photo which had been doctored and yet so much of agony had been displayed by supporters of one Najib. Yet that Najib maintains his silence. Why are those people making noises when someone is keeping a low profile.
Pls grow up, it’s a doctored photo which was used very smartly to depict the scene of the day.
The crust of the matter is “why the entry/departing record of those concerned were erased/removed from record??”…….something fishy is going on!! would be the postulation.
I know that Barisan Nasional especially UMNO has so many secrets, they are the one in power and they keep many things confidentials. But not all Malaysians are stupid, they know that these people under UMNO are playing dirty and did a lot of sins. Well, I leave it to God the Greatest to judge them and believe me God will punished everyone who committed sins. May God bless our nation, our people and our homeland. Abu Dhabi- KK, Sabah.
