Din Merican
Sep 30th, 2007 by Tian
A full day meeting today, preparation for the coming election. Biro Politik started meeting from the morning and carried on till 14:00hr. Then the Supreme Council (MPT) continued to meet from 15:00hr.
In fact we have to work extra hard during Puasa month as we need not break for lunch or tea.
The MPT ended at about 18:00hr, just before breaking fast. Our meeting was then joined by a new comrade Din Merican.
I have known Din just over a year. It was Tan Sri Ramond Navaratnam who introduced Din to me. We had several teh tarik sessions together.
Din came across as outspoken and liberal minded. Each time we met, he would without any reservation rant out his criticisms on the current administration. His critiques were sharp and straight forward.
This afternoon, he was introduced to the MPT. Din explained that he cannot any longer idly watch the rot that is going on. He has seen everything going from bad to worse, especially in the last 3 years. This prompted him to seek change, and KeADILan is the most favourable option.
Din had cocooned himself in the academic and corporate world for the last 5 decades. Now the time has come to make a change.
He said:
I have been a conservative and establishment guy for my life. I have not affiliated with any political party…
People might ask why a pro-establishment person now wants to get involved with a political party?”
Things must be really really bad.
Din Merican is expected to announce his move in the next few days.
The struggle against lies, hypocrisy, idiocy, racism, bigotry and Umno propaganda continues. Din is the latest in the long line of respected Malaysians who have lost faith in the establishment. This is only the beginning of the beginning. This is the beginning of the end of Umno, otherwise known as the Nazi party of Malaysia. Umno, your lies and chicanery are beginning to show up. Your time is up.
i’m surprised! salute to you mr din merican. worked with him, grand master in public relation. anyway, i like the way he speaks. send my regards to him.
Congratulation Mr Din Merican. We should have teh tarik once in a while. Been a while since we exchanged god ideas…
