Parti Keadilan Rakyat organized a forum on Judiciary Crisis in Hillcity Hotel Ipoh. This was actually the second forum on such theme held.
Last Saturday 29 Sept, a forum was organized in Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Howsy wrote a good account of the event (But, Howsy, the program was organized by IKD, an NGO, not KeADILan, so you are not tainted by the opposition).
On October 7, Anwar was on the same panel with Sivarasa and Yeo Yang Poh to deliver another speech on the judiciary. We have to continue to raise public awareness on this topic.
The issue is not only about VK Lingam and Ahmad Fairuz. It has far greater implications than a case of misconduct involving a few individuals. Some people think it is an over-reaction to establish a royal commission over this. After all, Ahmad Fairuz will most likely be retired by the end of October.
Not true, Sivarasa rightly pointed out: what we had seen in the clip unveiled the entire network of corrupted power which had infested the judiciary system.

Anwar and Yeo Yang Poh, ex-president of Bar Council
Yeo Yang Poh said that he came to this forum because he wanted to find how the Opposition parties behave. Nazri accused the Bar Council behaving like the Opposition. He did not know what the de facto Law Minister meant.
Now he can see the Opposition is very civil and well behave, much better than some ruling party members who are acting like monkeys, waving about their keris when agitated.
He said: when he was young his parents taught him to study hard, especially he must learn good English if he wanted to be a good lawyer. Coming from a poor family, he worked hard to learn grammar and vocabulary. Later he found out that to be a good lawyer need not even know how to construct a proper sentence. All you need is to utter: “Correct! Correct! Correct!” with “arh, arh”.

This issue has created enormous public interest. Despite short notice, the forum still attracted no less than 800 people who filled up the hall.
