11 November 1955, Partai Rakyat Malaya (PRM) was founded. Most of its leaders were from the Partai Kebangsaan Melayu Malaya (PKMM), which had been banned by the British colonial power. Both my workplaces—Brickfields and Sentul—have high concentration of Indian residents and businesses. Traffic jam, congestion, crowded shoppers have been part of the annual feature for Brickfields and Sentul during the Hindu festive season.
