The tough get going…
Dec 9th, 2007 by Tian
As I mentioned in my earlier post, the Authorities are using all means to sabotage people’s expression. The PM bragged about his “big ear”, his readiness to listen to the truth, blah blah blah.
At the end of the day, he instructed the police and all security measures to be used against peaceful gatherings. The PM has also threatened to invoke the ISA against dissenting voices.
If the PM and his cronies think that intimidation will silence the people, they will be heading towards a disaster. The people are now mature enough to make their own judgement, and they will surely defy repression.
Today (Dec 9), two events will proceed as planned:
Early morning 7:30hr, activists will gather at Sogo to join the Lawyers for Freedom of Assembly for a march to Central Market.
I am don’t think I will be there though. Too early to have the police spoil my day. I will be heading to Johor Bahru for a Human Rights Day program organized by SUARAM JB.
This evening 20:00hr (Dec 9), there will be another gathering at Dataran Merdeka. It will be a solidarity action to support those 31 protesters arrested at the 25 November rally’s right to have bail.
It is not only ridiculous to charge peaceful protesters with “attempting murder”, even more bizarre for the AG to accuse HINDRAF of having links with terrorists.
This farcical allegation was repeated by the IGP Musa Hasan. I call this unprofessional and mischievous. If the police possess information on terrorist activities, the right thing to do is to nab all of the suspects. He should not make grand declarations which serve only the interest of political propaganda. Does the IGP expect terrorists to surrender and confess to the security forces after his announcement? The stupidity of the IGP and AG make all citizens laugh (and at the same time feel ashamed).
It looks like the authorities will apply more repressive measures, we expect tough times ahead, but we are also ready to get tough.
Your statements are also inaccurate. I agree that not all the government actions are correct. There have been denials, cover-ups, as well as plain f***-up. But you wrote as if everything is okay with Hindraf. You need to be more factual to have credibility.
I am still laughing …ha..ha…ha
Hi Sir,
I was one of those people who waited outside during your questioning at the Dang Wangi Police Station, before you were brought to lock-up.
I express my support for you, and I believe a lot of us stand behind you.
Saudara Tian,
Kindly publish the list of cawangan and leaders and their contact numbers or email add. There are growing number of PKR supporters who doesn’t know who to contact to offer their sevices and support.
“LAWAN TETAP LAWAN”
its clear as daylight that the IGP, AG and EC are just tools of the government of the day with their posturing and political speeches. their roles are no longer to uphold the dignity of their office but to do the bidding of the corrupted powers-that-be.
With the prevailing negativity in al these institutions, law and order have deteriorated as crime rate soars. no wonder, long term investments are lagging behind our neighbours and even if they come in, the overseas courts are to be the final arbiter in a lot of cases. thats a further damnation on the credibility of the courts here. the judiciary is already in tatters and instead of nurturing it back to its former glory days, the government tries to make it worse by parachuting another of their man as the CJ.
4 years ago, I thought he was THE RIGHT MAN as the leader of this country with his anti-corruption and fair administration stance. 4 years later, I have the utmost disgust for this spineless and clueless man.
Good luck malaysia, whereever you are.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. What you are doing is very brave. The police will take this opportunity to beat and torture you again. Pak Lah is deaf and blinded by the power he holds and will never listen. He knows that the kampung folks are stupid and will support him and worship him like God. I will pray that he receive his KARMA before his first term expires. Malaysians must wake up from their slumberland and fight for their rights.
SOMETIMES THE DESPERATE GET REALLY DESPERATE…
LIKE THE MAMKUTTY22 WHO ACCUSED ANWAR OF SODOMY TO COVER HIS OWN ASS.
wE WILL NOW SEE ALL KINDS OF S**T THROWN AT HINDRAF TO DISTRACT THE PEOPLE OF AN IRRESPOSIBLE GOVERNMENT. IT USES THIS DIRTY TACTIC BECAUSE IT HAS NO OTHER ISSUES TO CONVINCE THE AKYAT SO FOR ITS FAILURES IN GOVERNING ..AND FEARS LOOSING THE ELECTIONS BADLY..
SO AGAIN THE MAY13 TACTIC..FEAR..FEAR..FEAR..AND THE PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR BN..
saya ingin berkongsi dengan anda perbincangan mengenai tian chua ditangkap semalam di sini http://www.noorizamshah.com/2007/12/12/sedikt-pelik-dan-menjadi-tanda-tanya/ minta pendapat
if the people have voted for the party, he/she has the obligation to represent the people. if he/she decides to leave the party or leap frog to another party, then the honorable and correct action is to resign and have fresh elections for the people to decide again. This is what representation is about.. it is not about the individual!!
