My blog had been down for the last few days as I have neglected some of the maintenance work during and after the general election. Now I have to go back to keep my blog going.
I hope to work out a routine to enable me to update my blog regularly. I still haven’t develop a work pattern to make blogging more efficient.
Last week (2-4 April) many areas in Batu experienced serious flood. The flood was not exactly natural disaster. The flood in Batu was largely due to the highway construction in the area.

Every time it floods in the Klang Valley, say prayers of gratitude to Muhammad Muhammad Taib who, as MB of Selangor, presided over the systematic destruction of almost all the watersheds in his state, especially the areas closest to the city. Back in the mid-1990s I heard unconfirmed reports that more than a dozen logging companies were regularly offering Mat Taib hefty commissions (that’s presumably where the money came from that he was lugging around Australia when he was caught doing his famous Umno bagman trick). The new Selangor state government has its hands full if it wants to reform the entrenched institution of deep corruption - especially within the Forestry Department, the JHEOA, and various District Councils. Top of my personal wish list I would like to see an immediate moratorium declared on logging - at least in Selangor, if not nationwide. The Malaysian Timber Council will have to find honest work for a change.
Hi YB Tian:
It is good to highlight the issue and keep netizen posted.
It will be better if you could highlight more details including analysis finding, evident and counter measures. With that more people could participate and provide valueble inputs for better decision making.
Thanks.
Tian Chua,
Street fighter to YB
Congratulations !!!
Dear Sdr Tian,
Please look into the condition of the road from Kompleks Mutiara Johan to Plaza Sg. Mas seems alot of pot holes. The worst is from jinjang to Kepong Garden but I do not know whom to contact. Maybe your help to inform Dr Tan as the condition has been left idling for years not today.
Thank you.
Dear YB (DSAI prefers you not to use it? Smile!),
CONGRATULATIONS FOR BEING AN MP NOW!
This is jeff poh (now I prefer this name and not jeffrey poh since it is short and sweet and hopefully more unique) here to get back in touch with you after our lunch at Centre Point BU quite a number of years back. Hope you still remember me.
I have this urge to contribute something to PKR and if you feel a civil engineer like me is useful to tackle this flood problem, do contact me either via above email or my mobile: 012 267 2977.
AGAIN, BRAVO AND BRAVA TO ALL OF YOU WHO FOUGHT SINCERELY AND OPPOSITION IS >1/3! I TRIED TO HELP MAKE THIS HAPPEN IN 1999 BY GOING TO HARAKAH PUBLISHING OFFICE IN JALAN PAHANG BARAT BUT FAILED TO CONVINCE THEM NOT TO PUSH FOR ISLAMIC STATE AGENDA! BUT THIS ELECTION WIN MAKES ME FEEL MY TRIP THEN WAS ANYWAY WORTHWHILE IN A WAY.
Warm Regards,
Jeff Poh
Tian Chua,
Majority of this ‘flash floods’ are due to negligence and irresponsible developer who probably blocked the drainage system.
You should set up a complain board or a system to encourage locals participation in bringing the culprits to justice.
At times informations from the general and civic-minded people are efficient in nailing down those irresponsible ones.
There are plenty of scope for social and economic developments ahead….the rakyat are counting on you folks, the newly elected and generally well-educated ones.
Am looking forward for more balanced development & prgressiveness for Penang, Selangor and Perak.
hey..YB…
my home area have more serious flood…my area flood when there is rain…when 1th of april my area flood more then 5 feet…and me home located at zon batu also
well now as YB you got to organize and make sure the immediate needs of the affected residents are met - if not BN would use it against you and that would clearly diminish not only your image but more than that of Keadilan.
party members should come out in full force to assist the affected residents as it is a join effort by all and not fall upon the YB alone especially from the alternative party. hope that the party members will rally and give continuous support - and plan for such a problem may happen yet again in the future. it is during times like this that elected repres. are being tested.
all the best !
Dear YB,
I am glad to know that you are the one who pratice what you preach !!!
Keep up your good work of updating us WHAT YOU HAVE DONE and GOING TO DO !!! so that the loser candidate will eat back all his nasty and irresponsible statements.
OPEN COFFIN BURNING AT SENTUL.

//
This is Urgent Matter, pls come up a public statement, truly a respectful MP we had voted you for!!!
Dear YB,
Could you please at least update your weekly activities…. This will be much appreciated. thank you…
woow…
so MP job do include all this aint it?
hahaha good luck to you mr chua on your successf in your “job interview” last march. haha hope u enjoy ur new job.
Jusco Kepong has been giving misleading price promotion although they admit the mistake, no proper action has been taken by the management. Pls bring our voice to justice for the public benefits!
I fully agree that both the BN govt and the poeple must share the responsibilities of the many sudden floods in malaysia EQUALLY!!
There is no effective enforcement (or no enforcement at all?) in preventing rubbish from being dumped into our drainage system, rivers or simply any place that we find convenient. How can u then expect no floods during heavy downpour?? I still remember a MCA village head from around Bakri Muar once pointed to a drain full of rubbish blocked by a water pipe across the drain and blaming JKR for the pipe to cause sudden flood as the rubbish couldn’t be washed away! My GOD!! A so called leader from BN didn’t even know the real cause of such a simple problem! No wonder this country is in big trouble now! The rubbish must first come from those “patriotic” people yet we blame on the pipe! If the govt carry out effective enforcement & the so called leaders educates the people by first carrying their own duties impartially with integrity, sure we are another Singapore!
Then come the developers who only know how to chop down the big trees and make sure the water in their deloping area flows to neighbouring area not under their control. When more housing areas are coming up, the one at the lowest point must be flooded during a short heavy rain as all waters just reach from all the surrounding areas! The relevant authorities never think of this problem when approving new development areas that normall located at higher areas.
Pls, for the sake of the people, if each and everyone of us stop to be selfish and carry out our duties and responsibilities as a good citizen and staff/govt servant, at least half of our problems could be solved soon! Don’t give others if u also don’t want unless it can really help others!
Quite apart from this posting, but as the information chief of PKR, can you clarify if Azmin is going to meet with Norza Zakaria? If so, why should he go? Why should he even bother to think is necessary to accept the invitation? Is he out of his mind? Of is he sent by Anwar Ibrahim? Is this just a sign that Anwar really can’t be trusted?
Don’t dig your own grave.
Tian: There has been no meeting between Norza and Azmin.
bro tian,
i’ very happy now.u as a mp.hope u work hard and do something new for BATU.
YB Tian Chua, darahnya jenis darah malaysia
Syabas YB Tian Chua, saya kagum dengan perjuangan anda.
Hey man, what are you dreaming about? Why you didn’t submit your questions?
Wee Choo Keong, Tony Pua & lots of other MPs can’t ask all the questions they want & yet you’re wasting the chance given?
Please buck up & say sorry.
Perhaps we should look into whether the development area requires rainwater storage tanks to JPS (Jabatan Pengaliran dan Saliran)’s requirement.
I have heard of incidences where the plans are approved and owners construct to JPS’s requirements but after receiving the CF and what not, they remove the storage tanks.
You so busy until forget submit question for the coming parliamentary meeting ???
Shame on You !!!
Saudara,
I agree with Dr Matthew here about the organisation. It is one thing to speak out and not be an implementor. You need to be an implementor or else there will be serious repercussions esp. for Keadilan and your goodself.
Get a good PA to run the nitty gritties for you, an able right-hand man and get a good volunteer committee up comprising of 5-7 members to look into the various aspects of your constituency. There are many retired corporate people or even public servants ( not all are pro BN ok? ) who may want to help you. Ask for help lah.
Think about the aspects that are uniquely BATU. So you can meet with the volunteers and then they can become your arms and legs.
You need to realise you are not just MP for BATU but you are in ARDA, and INfo Chief as well as many others. So you have to divide your time.
Blogging is very necessary to keep us informed. If you don’t blog and you apologise, we can accept it first time round but after that we can get tired of excuses. So it is better you blog at least every three days at the minimum. Just check out how people go to Malaysiakini everyday for news and you will know the appetite of people for news on the political scene.
It is already two months after the elections; so we are looking forward to changes in our constituency.

I AM A RESIDENT OF TAMAN BATU VIEW, KUALA LUMPUR (NEXT TO PASAR BORONG KUALA LUMPUR). THE RESIDENTS THERE HAVE A PROBLEM. I NEED YB TIAN CHUA’S H/P NO TO CONTACT HIM. MY NUMBER IS 012-3905300. THANKS.
A plea from a member of the electorate.
Dear members of parliament, all I want is a peaceful and harmonious country. Please always have the love of our country in your hearts no matter what you undertake from this day onward.
Please help to have the riches of our country distributed equally to all segments of society. Spread joy and happiness to one and all, young and old.
Please have a heart for the senior citizens in our society who need help and care. Make their remaining years pleasant and carefree, appreciate the contributions they have made to our country.
Spare a thought for the poor and struggling families that exist in this nation of ours. Most of the time, they are voiceless, lend them your voice. Let their plight be known in parliament and help bring them the necessary assistance for them to create a decent life.
Do not forget the young, help build a healthy environment so that youthful talents can blossom. Help to create an environment that is free of drugs and pornography. Put your talents together to see that quality education is provided to the future leaders of our country.
Allow good sense and decency to be your guides in whatever you do from today. Always be aware and conscious of your prime duty - to help to unite the people and to do your best to discard all words and deeds that can disunite the people.
Aiyoh YB. So what do you do during the flood? Helping them or just help ‘watching’ them to show your concern? Since we have democratically elected you to serve for us, I prefer you do your work rather than concern how frequent you post in your blog. Oh ya, I also don’t want to know how BN’s did wrong. Wasting time talking for anything has happen. In fact your service for people today and future most matters.
Shit! Flood due to road problems?
Hi…
Good afternoon to you.
Please be informed here that i have some gossip to share with the auntie and uncle here and this is not a defamation email or sedition letter.
These was what i heard from a friend of mine…..He said that if you want to obtain a Law Degree ( External Programme only ) in one of Local University and pass CLP exam, it is so easy like “makan kacang putihâ€.
The question papers can be obtained via a “channelâ€. You only required to do is purchase the exam paper, memorised the answers and you will pass it at least a “Bâ€.
Is that true ??? A friend of mine added : †I heard it from a friend…friend of mine. Nobody is going to bother the crime act cause nobody will able to trace the “channelâ€. If you have a few hundred ringgit , you can be a lawyer in the period of 4 years from now. Furthermore, these activities has been happened since the year of 2001. I commented : †Gosh!…..It is cheap in cost. But where can i find this “channel†??? “. A friend of mine added :†Once you have registered the law course, someone will approach you somewhere ….somehow. Just save some money now…..who knows they are charging each paper or subject RM200 each. With this RM200, you will get the exam paper in one whole set one month before the exam. You will have enough time to prepare the answer and memorised. You “tidak perlu baca†the whole book lah……
I said : †Now, everybody can be a legal adviserâ€. mmmmmm……..My friend quiestioned : †Shall we report it to respective party like the university or the CLP board ??? But we don’t have any proof. †I immediately replied : †You better don’t talk so loud. Later , both of us kena warn by somebody because being acting as a busybody. â€
God Bless All of Us…….with no more under table money incident.
I wonder : †Where can i get to know this “channel†? †Could it be the admin staff ? the printer ? or the officer ?
Nahhhhhhhhh……….i am just have a blank thought. No bad intention here to point the arrow to who it is …..Just a wonder before i go to play my football.
Bye.
so what is the solution ? if u find out the problem must give us a solutions lah
I would like to request that you give us your Batu service centre and put it on your blog for anyone to see as they need to contact you not just for ‘bugs” ok? ie not just to bug you but to offer help as well. I am one of those who want to help and can help so please let me know your contact number and service centre and when we can meet you. Thanks YB.
