Nothing changed

Today, ministers began to answer points raised in our speech in the last few days.
In the afternoon, the Deputy Finance Minister started the ball rolling. His long-winded speech bored everyone. When he was asked why our country’s competitiveness is falling behind, he gave a long story. He used some 15 minutes to tell a story of a colony (an unnamed African nation) that produces only banana, and how its colonial master France exploit the natives, and how the natives are happy with low economic growth…
At point, a few MPs including myself stood up to cut him off: “we are talking about national economy, why is the deputy minister talking about banana and France?”
Finance Minister was followed by Defence Minister Najib. He spent most of his speech to clarify the purchase of Scorpene submarines and Sukhoi fighter jets. He also gave a long answer to my points on national service.
Najib maintained that the purchase of these weapons was according to proper procedure. He claimed that Euro 114.96mil paid to Syarikat Perimekar Sdn Bhd was not a commission but payment for facilitating training and logistics for the officers and trainees in France.
On National Service, Najib insisted that the program is too important to be dropped despite the high rate of death and accidents.
We had a heated debate with Home Minister who maintained that ISA must continue, and all detainees especially the
The Deputy Trade Minister Liew Vui Keong can’t even speak proper Malay, he simply read a prepared text. He refused to answer any questions.
Now at this late hour, Education Minister “Krishamuddin” is giving his reply.
A while ago, in a very convoluted and lengthy way, he just rejected the reopening of SRJKC Damansara.
At the same time, English as the medium for Science and Maths to be continued.
He also refused to answer my question whether teachers of Sekolah Agama will be integrated into the mainstream under Education Ministery (so that they are paid proper wage).
Sitting closed at 21:00hr.
what commissions?
it’s consultations and reimbursements!
YB, your title today is so simple and deadly fit and right - Nothing Changed.
We wishful, simple and kindhearted malaysians want to see immediate changes after March 8. Our PM did say, from now on, I will be very vigorous, vigorous and vigorous in the delivery system…… bla….bla…bla. Hei Lip Service again !!????? Use mouth only !!! Mana Ada Changes ???!!!!!!???? Kalau ada , lebih dahsyat and teruk lagi, from bad to worst !!!
From the above captured ; Nothing Changed. YB, you are right, there is ZERO change.
YB,
Was it your typo error or I read it incorrectly? I thought the bugger promised to reopen SRJKC Damansara!
YB,
I just read from Malaysiakini that he never said SRJKC Damansara will not be reopened. However, 3 conditions need to be met which are safety, pollution precaution and comfotablility.
Did he say one thing inside the Parliament and another outside the Parliament?
Since NOTHING CHANGED! Is the work of this WICKED RULING COALATIONS….!!! GOOD NEWS! LET PAKATAN RAKYAT CHANGE IT!!!
Honestly, I reallly sympathizes ALL Pakatan Rakyat MP listening to those IDIOTS couple with a Bloody Bias Speaker in the Parliment! He deserves to be more in opposition side when PAKATAN RAKYAT rules! Make sure he gets a place & lets see what comes out from his BIG Mouth! His LOOK, ATTITUDE especially his Level of ARROGANCE is REALLY DISGUSTING!!!
yb,
soalan saya tentang plkn adalah kenapa hanya anak-anak org bawahan saja yg kena ke plkn dimana anak org kenamaan tidak di senaraikan utk ke plkn. adakah ini bukan double-standard.

YB Tian,
I am new to your blog but I think what you write here is much more informative and makes more sense than what I can gather from the 11.30pm TV1 program ‘Parlimen Hari Ini’. As I do not have access to TV at my office during the live telecast at 10am, I try to catch up during the 11.30pm program. The first few days were okay as we can still get to hear what the Opposition MPs say or debate on certain issues. Lately, they only show the parts when BN MPs spoke. Last night they showed a lengthy segment of DPM explaining his relationship, or non-existence of it as he claimed, with murdered Mongolian Altantuya. I am sure there must have been much comments/views/debate prior and post his speech from the others but it was not shown at all. I am very dissapointed with RTM for being so biased with their editing. I strongly support that the entire sitting should be shown live over the TV and internet without any biaised editing. I also think I will stop staying up late just to watch BN propoganda. Continue your good work YB. You have more supporters out there than you know.
dear Sir,
keep up the good work! it’s time for the PR MPs to strike back at the ‘Empire’…..keep BN on their toes. stop slacking, stop the lying, stop wasting the rakyat’s money..etc.
good post (tho got some mistake in some para about ISA), but it needs a better title
esp since most of your hits are likely to come from MK
france and banana, lol!
dear YB Tian Chua,
Keep banging on DPM “Najis”. This fellow put all kind of “najis” on every ministry he’d been governed. He’d carried out all kind of “mimpi” plans… programs… projects… licenses… and “boom” of course, live the “najis” to coming ministers. We all support u, coz you r chasing on the big snake, go… go.. go…
Is that true matprett? I am unaware, but still quite sceptical of your statement.
YB, I suppose it is not easy for changes to happen. They certainly do not happen overnight, and as I can see what is happening in the parliament (most of the time) is where both sides just seem to be picking on each others’ weaknesses and faults. I mean, of course there are the negative side, but not everything BN is doing is wrong, if indeed we’d all be dead because indeed after 50 years of “wongdoings” what’d you expect?
But what I suggest is that both sides try to adapt and compromise with each other, figure a way to work out issues properly which is difficult because BN and PR have different mindsets, yes. But if PAS and DAP can work together (like cats and dogs previously), why cant BN and PR?
Hi Tian Chua
All this parliament sandiwara seems to be going nowhere. While we are appreciative of the fact that we have voice representation with PR now, are the sleepyheads in the government doing anything ?
Bodohwi seems to be continuing his usual Chipsmore act (now u see me, now u dont) , ponteng parliament like it’s nobody’s business. Pls , could there be another way to force them out of of their caves & take responsibility? There are good points being raised all the time, but talking to BN is akin to talking to the wall. If the wall doesn’t react what can you do ? I hope there will exist a day where the wall will crumble… that’s when they will realise it’s too late. BN don’t test our patience.
It is another sad day in Malaysian history……..ministers wasting the Rakyat’s hard-earned money in the Parliament.
Perhaps some ministers should be selling pencils on the streets rather than selling ill-conceived speeches and prepared notes in the Parliament.
