I was quoted in a Reuter report on Dr Mahathir’s resignation from Umno:
“He has to fight to defend his legacy, he has to fight against UMNO’s attempts to erode his credibility,” said Tian Chua, a leader of the opposition Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) led by former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim. …
In my [...]

Dr Mahathir announced quiting Umno at 12:35hr today (19 May). This fulfilled the prophesy that all Umno presidents (except Tun Abdul Razak) left the party.
This is definitely a calculated move. Mahathir has reached his end of the road. Mahathir’s credibility has been steadily eroded by the VK Lingam investigation.
I believe that Mahathir is feeling [...]

Deterrence

In my delivery of speech during the debate of the Royal Address (I spoke on 13 May), I lashed out at a series of failures of the Defence Minister.
I was particularly upset with the continuous sacrifice of lives in the National Service Training Program. I blamed this on the ambition of the Minister who wanted [...]

Sudut Pandangan

Last Thursday (15 May), I was invited by Astro Awani (Channel 501) to participate in the “Sudut Pandangan” program, hosted by Kamarul Bahrin Haron. The broadcast was live at 20:30hr.
On the same stage, purportedly my ‘opponent’, was Datuk Saifudin Abdullah. The new deputy minister for Entrepreneurial and Cooperative Development was once the chairperson of Malaysia [...]

What Hisham said?

There seems to be some confusion what Hishamuddin @ ‘Kris’hamuddin said in Parliament last night.

Parliament at late night, Not in Malaysia!
The PM just walked into the Parliament Hall at this late hour, 23:00hr.
It seems that the strong presence of Pakatan Rakyat MPs has sent a strong signal to the government to take parliament more seriously.
At lobby of the Parliament, Sivarasa met the PM before he entered the chamber, the [...]

I am sitting in the Dewan Rakyat waiting for my turn to speak. Now Tenggara MP is speaking.
Earlier we heard backbencher MPs from Sabah, as well as Semanjung, all delivered their fiery speeches, lashing at BN Government.
I wonder BN backbenchers are trying to take over the role of the opposition. Yesterday Sabahan MPs criticized the [...]

Finally, RPK walked out of Sg Buloh prison freely!
He was brought to PJ Session Court and released yesterday (9 May) at 09:30hr on the dot. I was late to receive him in court, but caught up with Marina, Petra and the whole gang in Hilton PJ.
Petra was cheerful as usual. He shared with us his [...]

RPK

RPK is a Russian made Kalashnikov machine gun
What so seditious about Raja Petra Kamarul (RPK)’s article, “Let’s send the Altantuya murderers to hell“?
Sedition is an act of encouraging rebellion against the authorities or social order. Granted, the article insinuated that Deputy PM Najib Razak is linked to the murder of Altantuya. Whether Najib is really [...]
