The federal government fellows will never learn. For the 5 pakatan states looks like "things get tough, tough get going". Even after more than 3 months, the federal government is still like a crying baby after losing the milk bottle. So, what i want to say here is, don't even ever consider giving him a pacifier.

as we all know, the federal government always engage clowns to study the transportation plan in malaysia. Once i heard an old man said that the person that design the highway in malaysia never drive. hence u have the problematic MRR2. i agree with tian chua that we should perform a more comprehensive study for a solution on the transportation problem in Penang. I hope that will become an example for the KL which facing less than 30% of KL citizen are using public transport.

the more project the federal government cancel from the 5 pakatan states, the more support the rakyat is going to give to the pakatan state. the federal government is still like a cry baby after losing the milk bottle.

Tian, don't let PKR and PR get sidetrack with DSAI case, otherwise BN/Umno will just say PKR is championing only for one man, sounds familiar.

Just don't get trap in BN's game.

Get on with the march to Putrajaya and other economic issues. Get the BN busy and jumping on their feet. The way I see it, you people are on the defensive. Get on the offensive on the double.

My question is why proposed these two projects (PORR and monorail) in the first place?

Shouldn't thorough studies be made before any announcement is made? Why plan and half way thru cancel (postponed) it.

Dear YB,
I too wonder at the wisdom of pouring so much money into the so called 'corridors'...it somehow brings to my mind sinister plots which connotes an evil hush of "beware of whispers along the corridors"...
I agree that Monorail and LRT in KL for that matter, has a lot of room for improvement. But I beg to differ that they are a total failure or not necessary. The problem again lies with the implementation. Mass transportation is one of the key point which must be given utmost careful thought and planning for growth of a world class city; the other being housing. Failure to plan these two carefully will determine if KL will end up like 'fume-filled forever traffic-jam' situations like Jakarta or Bangkok; or pleasant commuting like in Switzerland or even Singapore.
But then again if you have situations where you have to drag your luggage accross busy roads just because the connecting LRT or Monorail stations are 'not connected' because one is STAR and the other is PUTRA and for some reasons they are not properly connected because everyone wants a piece of the cake when these are built...well, what can we say!! Classic example is the Masjid Jamek Putra and Star stations..
In the case of Penang, they have to plan properly to avoid tourists and tourist buses, taxis and other related tourism activities not to clash with regular residents activities. Having an LRT or Monorail may not be a bad idea but make sure they don't repeat the same mistakes of having both Putra and Star..

It's clearly politically driven......such is the norms of Malaysian politics.
The States of Penang, Selangor and Perak should look outside the square for attracting investments, fundings and the like. Forget about those in the Federal administration, they appeared to be a bunch of directionless souls.

Nostradamus Quatrains on Malaysie

In the year of the great games started by the Greeks
Hosted by the nation of heavenly emperors of times before
In a land called Malaysie
Great turbulence and strife engulf

A land where a Genghis Khan’s Descendant was shred to bits
Blown by the winds to the heavenly clouds
Where the accused are finally crowned
Amid great trepidation and acrimony

Then arose among men of honor
A man of the faith of Mohammedans
Kings and Rulers let him reign
And a new nation was born

Great leaders bring forth divination and revelations
A land of many tribes divided was thus united
The color of men was blurred and lost
By great competition to give their best

Herein lies the destiny of men
Who showed the meaning of democracy and humanity
Religions and languages flourishes as times before
A land as peaceful as Shangri La

Malaysie, a stopping point of travelers must see
Back to the days of great Sultans and Rajas
Nations and men afar come to seek their wealth
Knowledge, trade and life flourishes as before

YB, you are very sarcastic! But I agree with you. Anyway, congratulations for winning this seat(I know it's a bit too late). I will support PKR forever!
