Unofficial result-Anwar get 17,652 majority.
Datuk Seri Anwar garnered 31,949 votes to win by a BIG majority of 17,652 votes, beating Ariff Shah of BN, who received only  14,297 votes.

Today is polling day in Permatang Pauh , the first election after 8 Mrach 2008 general election, the contest is among Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Arif Shah Omar Shah(BN) and Hanafi Hamat from AKIM.
