Permatang Pauh - Polling Day
Aug 26th, 2008 by Support Team

Today is polling day in Permatang Pauh , the first election after 8 Mrach 2008 general election, the contest is among Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Arif Shah Omar Shah(BN) and Hanafi Hamat from AKIM.
Today is also the most important day to whole Malaysian, the day for DSAI to get back into parliament.  This has been Anwar’s fort since 1982 and the seat has been held for him by his wife PKR president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah during his absense in the past 10 years.
The polling centres are opened for voting since 8am until 5pm. We will like to urge voters to come out in full force and as early as posisble. Voters need not worry about getting to the poling station as volunteers from PR will be waiting to chauffeur you in cars.
Hi all my brothers in PP, dun worry. Anwar will definitely win by more than 25,000++ votes. I urge all PKR supporters to stay calm. Dun let Barang Naik people to have chance to find excuses.
Good luck and good 10 days work. We truely malaysians salute you guys. We are admiring and envy you guys as we have hearts for you only, tak dapat di PP kerana nak cari makan di KL due to terrific multiple and exponential economic contractions.
I am sitting in my office in KL. How I wish I could be in PP, on this historic day, to witness the events unfolding. I have only one wish and that is Anwar is sent back to the Parliament by the people of PP. Thereafter, let us begin the process of creating a new Malaysia. It is immaterial to me whether he wins by 1 vote or 25,000 votes. As long as he wins the by-election and is returned to Parliament. I do not hold him to the 16/9/2008 deadline even though I hope it can be done. However, BN must be kicked out as soon as possible. They have already caused too much damage to this country. Damage control must begin immediately. I am not naive and I don’t expect Anwar to turn the country around within 100 days. Thirty over years of damage by BN simply cannot be made good within months. It takes time to get rid of those corrupted people who are still heading the various institutions. It may take years. I have placed my hope and trust in Anwar and other leaders of PR to put this country where it should be.
