No appeal: son-of-Razak
Nov 16th, 2008 by Tian
Attorney General decided not to appeal against Razak Baginda’s acquital from the murder of Altantuya (Malaysiakini 14 Nov).
Should anyone be surprised? After a long drawn drama, court freed Razak Baginda on 31 Oct and called 2 UTK security officers for defence.
How would the two defend themselves? The UTK guys couldn’t even distinguish Mongolia and China, and had zero knowledge of Altantuya, what was the motive for their brutality?
We are curious to hear our dear AG’s reason for filing an appeal in Altantuya case. Is it a tacit admission that AG knew that Razak was not guilty of abating. While this might be true, the Prosecution yet made no efforts to find out the real culprit.
Previously, AG had appealed against various judgments, including: Malek Hussain’s ISA compensation (18 Oct 2007), Komathy’s ruling on Anwar’s trial (7 Nov 2008), Raja Petra release (Malaysiakini), and almost all habeas corpus cases of ISA detainees.
Gani Patail can afford to waste public money on defending government’s violation of human rights but not willing to pin down criminal.

Like I said in the ‘I don’t know her’ post, these people in the judiciary handling this high-profile case are absolutely incompetent! Or are they deliberate unfair and unjust judges? Either way, they shd step down or quit altogether. Let the fair and the just and the competent take over! I hope they are not helping the accused make his escape before the IJC steps in, to the insult of the justice system of Malaysia! To the insult of all judges in the courts of Malaysia! To the insult of our Govt!! To the insult of the Righteous of the land!! I pray the true and just God will catch up wt the real culprits, be they big or small, high or low! May the Almighty come down to lend Malaysia a helping hand, to bring true justice to our nation…even in this case and many others…. SOON!!!
